All your health data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. This data is protected by your device's security measures, including:

  • Device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID protection
  • iOS data encryption at rest
  • App sandbox security

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data will be encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. This allows you to access your data across multiple devices. We do not have access to your iCloud data, and Apple's privacy policies apply to this storage.

4. HealthKit Integration

IBD Navigator can integrate with Apple's HealthKit to:

  • Read health data (with your explicit permission)
  • Write symptom data to HealthKit (with your explicit permission)

All HealthKit data remains within Apple's ecosystem and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy policies. We do not access this data outside of the approved HealthKit APIs.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or distribute your personal information to any third parties. The only sharing that occurs is when you explicitly choose to:

  • Export your data to share with healthcare providers
  • Share data via iOS sharing features (AirDrop, email, etc.)
